Managing Your Projects in SAP Business One
All the information about a project is centralized in the Project window. You can assign documents to a project according to a financial project code.
Overview tab: In the Overview area, you select the risk level, industry, and add comments. It also includes a nice view of subprojects.
Subprojects tab: If you have checked the box for “project with subprojects” you can access the Subproject tab. On this tab, you can assign subprojects to the project, that is, you can create subprojects that are on the hierarchy level directly below the project.
Stages tab: On this tab, you specify tasks related to stages. Many tasks can be related to one stage. You can create stage dependencies across different project levels, including subprojects. Each stage row holds a completion rate, and the completion rate of all stages amounts to 100%
Here you also maintain open issues, attachments, documents, work orders and activities.
Summary tab: View the summary information of all the costs of the project. Includes budget and invoiced amounts; accumulated budget; profit values, accumulated profit values; work order costs; and dates.
Remarks and Attachments: Add notes or attachments for your projects.
Billing Document Generation Wizard: The wizard allows you to recharge costs or bill a project. It creates A/R delivery or A/R invoice documents based on the project data to streamline standard billing or milestone billing.
Reports: Generate stage analysis, open issues or resources reports. A Gantt chart feature shows the project tasks across a timeline.
Project status: When a project is done you can change the status of a project from Started to Finished. Two other project statuses such as stopped or paused are available.
